The Nerve of Her

Resources

The content on this site is based on Polyvagal Theory, which Stephen Porges, PhD, developed in the 1990s. Deb Dana brought it into clinical practice and into everyday life.

This site stays at a high level. It’s meant to share recommendations for those of us looking for ways to feel sturdier at work each day, especially when the macro changes around us keep flooding our nervous systems.

The Polyvagal Ladder.

One of the key resources we work through in the “Your Nervous System at Work” sessions is the Polyvagal Ladder: understanding it, recognizing it in general and in yourself, and identifying the steps that help you get the most out of a moment based on where you’re sitting on the ladder.

Regulation techniques.

In addition, you’ll learn specific techniques to help you move up the ladder. A sampling is included below.

Where to start.

“Your Nervous System at Work” is a free, live, 60-minute session for small groups. Everyone leaves with actionable next steps, and there’s no sales pitch or ask at the end.
